I love to glean plants from other sources too! There are some large businesses in the area that spend lots of money on seasonal plantings. I simply pinch a node here or there when I walk in and out and take them home to grow my own clones of those plants too.

Me again, Nate... you want to do some serious rescue? Hit all the high-end hotels and businesses, who routinely throw out any plant with a yellow leaf. I've rescued hundreds.

Plants don't need to be purchased! A pinched stem with a root node and a little rooting hormone works wonders in a glass for 3 days then put into soil. I have many, many, many plants, none of which were purchased.
