Do you have a ton of extra veggies in your garden right now? Why not trade them? We stumbled across a great website the other idea called Veggie Trader. You can sign up, post what you have a lot of and what you’d like to trade for and then wait for the matchmaking to happen.
Unfortunately there isn’t anybody currently signed up for our area so if you do live in the Tri-State, join now so we can start swapping our extra produce for other things we might be able to use.

Curious to know about your experience with this site. So many of these have hot pockets with a few cities, with less (or zero) Midwest interest. Were a lot of Indiana folks on board?
robbie @ going green mama´s last blog ..We interrupt this blog
Thanks for leaving me a comment Robbie! So far my wife and I have been pretty disappointed with the amount of people in the area participating. That is part of the reason I wanted to get the word out that this site existed. We think it’s a great idea, especially seeing the sizes of the many vegetable gardens that are planted around our parts. The sad thing is, a lot of the produce seems to just go to waste and can be seen hanging out on dead plants for several months after the season ends. I wish I knew why more people out here don’t get on board with sites like this and Neighborrow. Maybe it’s just too progressive for them!
